Kevin Henkes lives in Madison, Wisconsin. Kitten's First Full Moon is his thirty-fourth book for children; all have been published by Greenwillow Books in the United States. "His drawing style is rowdy, exuberant, equal parts late Arnold Lobel and early Maurice Sendak.
