Hi guys,

Talk about an exciting time! VAMPIRATES: EMPIRE OF NIGHT is officially published and I’m thrilled that so many of you have got your mitts on it already and are enjoying it.

Publication is a busy old time. Just today, there have been reviews of EON in The Sun newspaper and Jewish Chronicle. Great stuff! You can also find me talking about the books on the Blue Peter website. I know that many of you have been waiting for this particular film for some time! Later this evening, I’ll be doing an interactive launch event online at bittenbybooks.

I’m already all over the web chatting about my book. If you’d like to catch me on youtube talking about EMPIRE OF NIGHT, answering YOUR questions and giving you an exclusive tour of my office, check the following titles on youtube:

As you know, I love getting out and about to mark publication. I’ll be doing a full week of touring at the end of March but, ahead of that, I’ve already been pretty busy. Last week, I was in the Midlands and had a sensational couple of days organized by the amazing Ros Bartlett of Dudley Children’s Book Group and the equally awesome Lisa Wharton of Wolverhampton Children’s Book Groups. Thanks to both Ros and Lisa for a stonking series of events. And thanks to Wollescote School, St. Mary’s, Colton Hills and Earl’s for inviting me in. It was great to meet you all and brilliant to receive blog messages from several of you this week.

Yesterday, I was in Surrey for the launch of Surrey Libraries’ Children’s Book Festival, World Book Day – oh and publication day of EMPIRE OF NIGHT! This was another great session and I enjoyed meeting all the students from the many schools in attendance. This was just the beginning of a month-long Children’s Book Festival so, if you’re in the area, do pop along to one of the other events.

And if you happen to be in London, and free this Sunday afternoon, come and see me at Jewish Book Week. There are still tickets available. For more info, go to: www.jewishbookweek.com.

On Monday afternoon, I’ll be in Dublin to appear on the fab ICE TV show. They’ve chosen DEMONS OF THE OCEAN as their Book Club choice for March. The lovely people at Eason’s in Dublin have chosen EMPIRE OF NIGHT as THEIR Book Choice for March and I’ll be popping in to sign some copies there while I’m in town.

Congrats to Lisa from Australia who won our first VAMPIRATES t-shirt competition. Lisa will be proudly sporting her Sidorio t-shirt in Queensland! As you may have seen, the battle is now on to win an exclusive Cheng Li t-shirt. Entries are already flooding in thick and fast. You have until March 16th to stake your claim! Remember – this contest is open to Nocturnals, wherever you are in the world on www.vampirates.co.uk.

Bring on the night!
