Elizabeth Miles grew up in New York state, and graduated from Boston University in 2004. She is now a journalist with the Portland Phoenix. Fury is her first novel. She is writing under a pseudonym and lives in New England.

A. Only child, always learning, city mouse gone country

A. Mutual, healthy love. The woods, the ocean, warm sun, fresh snow. Friends and food and laughter. Quiet time alone. Productivity of a non-frantic nature. A book by the fire. Pizza cooking over that fire.

A. Losing perspective; rats
Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?
A. "This is a [complete, utter, absolute] nightmare."
Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?
A. I would love to be a good dancer -- salsa, tap, breakdance, ballet...Beautiful and challenging.
Q. What’s your greatest flaw?
A. I'm a bit sensitive. [Cue coughing from loved ones who take issue with "a bit."]

A. Enthusiasm for the things that excite me.

A. I'm an expressive talker, from my facial expressions to my hand motions. It's an interactive experience.

A. I have to admit that grammatical errors bug me -- i.e. your/you're mix-ups and the like.

A. I love to cook, try new recipes, and work with fresh ingredients.

A. Broadway actress.

A. Honesty, independence, and humor.

A. PIZZA!
